A regional group with four properties, which is a different problem from one property four times. Security and segmentation, a core refresh, wireless, separation of the surveillance estate, and consolidation of the firewalls.
Consolidation is the word doing the work there. A group that grows by property accumulates a firewall estate by accident — different platforms, different rule conventions, different people who wrote them — and the cost of that is not licensing, it is that nobody can answer what is permitted across the group without reading four configurations. Bringing them together is mostly an exercise in deciding what the group’s policy actually is, which nobody has written down until someone makes them.
The surveillance separation follows the same reasoning as the single-property engagement: a regulated camera estate belongs on its own side of a boundary, and the boundary should be the same one at every property.
Outcome
One security and segmentation model applied across four properties rather than four estates maintained separately.
