Evaluated roadside detection technologies with vendors and industry leaders on the two questions that decide whether ITS data is worth acting on: counting vehicles through an intersection accurately, and counting the people inside them.
Assessed BlueTOAD Bluetooth re-identification alongside alternative platforms. Device-based re-identification counts handsets rather than occupants, so volume and occupancy accuracy became a matter of correlating detection methods rather than trusting any single sensor.
